TAKREEM Laureate Rachid Yazami Receives Second Chinese Patent for EV Battery Safety Innovation
Rachid Yazami, the renowned Moroccan scientist and TAKREEM Laureate for Scientific and Technological Achievement (2018), has been granted a second patent by China for a groundbreaking technology aimed at improving the safety of electric vehicle batteries. Yazami announced the news on social media, expressing his pride in this new advancement, which he believes will significantly reduce battery-related risks and prevent accidents that can lead to injuries or fatalities. This latest recognition follows a series of recent achievements, including a Chinese patent awarded in December for rapid-charging lithium battery technology designed for electric vehicles, as well as a Japanese patent received in February for innovations enabling faster charging of lithium batteries used in both electronics and EVs. With more than 200 inventions and over 250 scientific publications to his name, Rachid Yazami continues to stand as one of the world’s most influential pioneers in battery science, and his work exemplifies the excellence celebrated within the TAKREEM community.
