Selim Bassoul is the Executive Chairman of Six Flags Entertainment Company. He joined the Six Flags board in February 2020, initially serving as Non-Executive Chairman from February to November 2021. He was later appointed President and Chief Executive Officer from November 2021 to June 2024, a role designated by the former board of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. Prior to his tenure at Six Flags, Mr. Bassoul led The Middleby Corporation—a global manufacturer of food service and processing equipment—as President, CEO, and Chairman from 2001 to 2019.

His extensive board experience includes serving as Director and Non-Executive Chairman of Diversey Holdings, Ltd., as well as holding board positions with 1847 Goedeker Corporation, Confluence Outdoor, Piper Aircraft, Inc., and Scientific Protein Laboratories LLC.

Bassoul earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
