Rodolphe Saadé stands at the helm of CMA CGM Group, one of the world’s largest shipping and logistics companies, connecting continents, economies, and people through international trade.
Born into a family whose entrepreneurial story is deeply rooted in the Mediterranean, Saadé grew up alongside the company founded by his father, Jacques Saadé, in Marseille in 1978. What began with a single maritime service between Marseille and Beirut would become one of the world’s leading transportation and logistics groups.
After joining the Group in 1994, Rodolphe Saadé held a succession of operational and leadership responsibilities across different markets and areas of the business before becoming Chief Executive Officer in 2017 and Chairman and CEO later that year.
Under his leadership, CMA CGM entered a new phase of global expansion and transformation. Today, the Group operates across more than 160 countries, supported by an extensive maritime network and a growing presence in logistics, air freight, terminals, and supply-chain solutions. Through strategic investments and acquisitions, Saadé has pursued an ambitious vision: transforming CMA CGM from a leading shipping company into an integrated global transportation and logistics group.
His leadership has also placed innovation and environmental transformation at the heart of the Group’s long-term strategy.
