Raymond Debbane is the President and CEO of Invus Group, LLC, a global investment firm based in New York with offices in Paris, London, and Hong Kong. Co-founding Invus in 1985 as the exclusive advisor to Benelux-based Artal Group S.A., Debbane became Artal’s CEO and board member in 1998. Invus has successfully invested across diverse industries, including consumer products, biotech, software, and food, with notable investments in Keebler Foods, Weight Watchers International, and Blue Buffalo Pet Foods. Under Debbane’s leadership, Invus has achieved top-tier returns in private equity, growing its initial capital to over $5 billion without external fundraising.

While primarily focused on private equity in the US, Europe, and Asia, Invus also manages a hedge fund and a long-only public stock portfolio.Debbane chairs Weight Watchers International, Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, and Action Against Hunger-USA. He is also International Chairman of the Action Against Hunger Network and serves as Chairman of CLES, a Lebanese NGO supporting children with learning disabilities, founded by his wife.

With a strong educational background, he holds an MBA from Stanford, an MS in Food Science from UC Davis, and a BS in Agricultural Sciences from the American University of Beirut.
