Proximie–IRCAD Partnership Led by TAKREEM Laureate Nadine Hachach-Haram

Proximie, the global health-technology platform founded by Dr. Nadine Hachach-Haram, TAKREEM Laureate for Young Entrepreneur (2018), has announced a strategic partnership with IRCAD North America, one of the world’s leading institutes for surgical education and innovation. The collaboration aims to expand global access to advanced surgical techniques, data-driven learning, and next-generation operating room technologies. In an interview with Healthcare Today, Dr. Hachach-Haram emphasized how smarter, digitally connected operating rooms can transform the future of medical training: “Smart operating rooms can help us scale expertise by allowing us to train twice as many doctors and nurses in half the time, while virtually connecting to any expert who can guide you in real time.” Through this partnership, Proximie will power the transmission, storage, and unification of surgical data—creating a secure and fully connected ecosystem that supports real-time collaboration between surgeons worldwide. IRCAD NA will leverage Proximie’s platform to elevate the quality, precision, and pace of its surgical training programs, which focus on minimally invasive techniques across general, cardiovascular, neurosurgical, and orthopaedic specialties. Beyond training, the platform will also generate data-driven insights for medical developers and researchers. By capturing surgical data directly from the operating room, Proximie enables innovators to design, test, and refine new technologies with unprecedented accuracy and speed—driving long-term impact across the global healthcare landscape. Opened in September, IRCAD North America, located at The Pearl – Atrium Health’s innovation district in Charlotte, North Carolina, joins a global network of renowned IRCAD hubs across Brazil, China, France, India, Lebanon, Rwanda, Taiwan, and the United States. Each year, the institute will host dozens of advanced courses, welcoming thousands of surgeons and healthcare professionals from around the world. This partnership marks another milestone for Dr. Nadine Hachach-Haram, whose pioneering vision continues to shape the future of surgery. “The partnership reinforces the vital role Proximie plays in connecting operating rooms and shows how digital technology can help shape the future of surgical training and patient care,” she noted. As a member of the TAKREEM community, Dr. Hachach-Haram exemplifies how Arab innovators are shaping global health through ingenuity, leadership, and transformative impact.
