Nadine Hachach-Haram, a surgeon, lecturer, and NHS clinical entrepreneur, co-founded Proximie, an augmented reality platform that enables doctors to virtually join any operating room worldwide. Through Proximie, surgeons can visually and practically assist with operations from start to finish, aiming to make surgery safer, more accessible, and cost-effective for patients globally. Operating in Beirut, London, and Boston, Proximie has gained significant traction with major medical institutions and has been widely featured in global media, hailed by CNN as the “Future of Surgery.” Hachach-Haram’s innovative contributions to surgery were recognized in 2018 when she received the British Empire Medal (BEM) for her work in medicine at the Royal Free Hospital.

As a plastic surgeon in London, she actively advances surgical practices in various roles, including as a council member of the Royal College of Surgeons Future of Surgery Commission, BAPRAS Innovation UK, and the Royal Society of Medicine’s plastic surgery section. She also serves as an honorary clinical lecturer at University College London.

A frequent speaker at international conferences, Hachach-Haram shared her vision in a recent TED Talk on the future of surgery. When not working, she enjoys family time with her husband and three children in London and supports numerous charitable organizations worldwide.
