Mona Al-Husseini is the Communications Advisor at the Jordanian Embassy in France and Secretary for “le Prix du Roman Arabe,” a prize promoting intercultural dialogue between France and the Arab world by highlighting distinguished Arab writers whose books have been translated into French.
Born in Amman and raised in Beirut, Mona belongs to one of Jerusalem’s oldest families and has lived in France since 1986. She studied at the American University of Beirut and Syracuse University, holding a B.A. in Business Administration and an M.A. in Mass Communications.
Mona is a strong advocate for preserving Arab cultural heritage, actively working to safeguard the Khalidi Library in Jerusalem, a prominent private Palestinian library with one of the largest collections on Islamic history, sciences, and law in the Arab world. She is also Secretary and Treasurer of the Jordan River Foundation in France and has organized cultural events for UNESCO.
She has led fundraising campaigns for the foundation’s key projects supporting child protection and women’s economic empowerment.
