Khalid Machchate is a seasoned entrepreneur and executive with over a decade of technology, policy and corporate transformation expertise. He enables large public and private sector organizations to grow both in impact and in scale with the magic of digital transformation and human capital skill-up, to 9 figures in revenues and 5 figures in staffing, as well as expand into emerging markets through cultural and regulatory contextualization, with particular efficacy in the Middle East and Africa.Khalid is the founding CEO and current Chairman of the Board at K&W Technology Group, a consulting firm specializing in deep technologies integration, from cutting edge Enterprise Software, to AI, IoT, Blockchain, and AR/VR with offices with 150+ collaborators in 3 continents, that has contributed under his leadership to the transformation, growth of major clients in 70+ countries and 15+ industries, including Société Générale, Maghreb Central Bank, Royal Air Maroc, Wafa Assurance, Bouygues Construction and Schneider Electric. The group was also a venture builder for 5 startup projects, with 2 successful exits in Edtech and Healthtech.Khalid is also the youngest member of Morocco’s Royal Advisory Committee by nomination from His Majesty King Mohammed 6th, leading strategically the national development agenda through inclusive and sustainable public policies, technology and innovation. In addition, he contributed in underwriting and guiding through parliamentary processes several laws and regulations both locally (i.e the Moroccan Crowdfunding legislation and Investment profit protection amendment) and internationally (i.e the G20 startup fiscal incentive recommendations, World Government Summit collaborative sustainability framework).Khalid’s effective leadership track record isn’t limited to his own ventures. He was previously engaged as Innovation Director for an Abu Dhabi Government institution, as MENA managing director for US State Department backed Silicon Valley accelerator “Demo Africa” helping African startups from 36+ countries fundraise $150M+ and establish in San Francisco, and as managing director of MEA Nearshore Operations for Devoteam, a Big 4 France headquartered digital transformation consulting group 10 000+ people strong. He also strategically oversees technology, innovation and investment as division director and advisor to the Chairman of OCP Group, the world’s largest phosphate miner and fertilizer manufacturing corporation, and 4th most sustainability-minded food business, with $7B yearly revenues. Khalid sieges several boards as advisor, executive and non-executive director for startups, family offices, accelerators, and investment funds (i.e Fifth-Wave, Start Gate, Startup Station). He also volunteers on the board of French-African innovation and arts foundation “Share Africa”.Khalid Machchate is a globally recognized thought leader, receiving numerous local and international awards including the first Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 in the Maghreb Region. He is regularly invited to speak on the world’s biggest stages from Web Summit in Lisbon, to Gitex in Dubai, to Vivatech in Paris, to WEF in China, to SXSW in Austin. He graduated as Software & Embedded Systems Engineer from Mohammed 5th University ENSIAS State School of Engineering. He has also undergone Virginia Commonwealth University’s Entrepreneur in Residence certification program on Venture Capital Investment and Creative Financing, and Board Director & ESG Leader certification program powered by KPMG & HSBC.
