JIHAD SHOJA’EYEH - PALESTINE
Jihad Shoja’eyeh, a passionate advocate for youth empowerment, began his career in 2002 as a youth facilitator in Palestinian camps through the Ministry of Youth and Sports. His drive led him to engage in numerous local, regional, and international conferences focused on youth development, where he gained extensive experience and expertise.
In his most significant accomplishment, Shoja’eyeh founded the “Youth without Borders Network,” which has grown to over 5,240 members, making it the largest Arab youth network, offering conference invitations, training, and scholarship programs. His professional experience includes roles with institutions like Youth Sharek Forum, the Center for Continuing Education at Birzeit University, Shams Center for Democracy and Human Rights, Aman Center for Psychological and Social Guidance, and the Central Election Commission. He has also consulted with international organizations, notably GIZ (German Cooperation).
Shoja’eyeh has contributed to various projects and conferences, including the 2007 Youth International Conference in Sharm Sheikh, the 2008 Arab Youth Conference on media, and the 2009 Feker 8 conference in Lebanon. His initiative, “From Student to Student,” which supports education to combat poverty, earned him the Synergos Social Leadership Prize and an Ashoka fellowship in 2011.Shoja’eyeh, originally from Amman, Jordan, moved with his family to the Palestinian territories. He holds a BA in Sociology and Psychology from Birzeit University and a Master’s in Social Statistics and Quantitative Research, alongside certifications in critical and creative thinking, leadership, and team-building.
