AJIALOUNA

Humanitarian and civic excellence – 2025

Founded in 1995 in Beirut, Ajialouna is a non-profit, non-governmental, and nonpolitical organization dedicated to serving Lebanon’s most vulnerable communities with compassion and integrity. Established by a group of devoted volunteers inspired by values of solidarity and faith-based giving, it has evolved into a beacon of humanitarian service that empowers individuals, uplifts families, and drives sustainable development. Guided by transparency, credibility, volunteerism, and dignity, Ajialouna delivers integrated social, medical, educational, and economic services across the country. Its medical centers in Beirut and Tripoli provide affordable healthcare, supported by a mobile clinic, school health programs, and initiatives such as Petals of Life for children with cancer. In education, the Tomouh Program, in partnership with PepsiCo and other organizations, offers university scholarships, mentorship, and school sponsorships to ensure equal access to learning. Through its women’s empowerment programs, the Mashghal Atelier and Coeur de Miel Kitchen provide vocational training and income-generating opportunities, while Maison Ajialouna in Beirut serves as a hub of creativity, featuring a café, gallery, and workshops. The organization also delivers humanitarian aid through food distribution, clothing drives, and seasonal initiatives such as the annual Orphans’ Iftar. Expanding its impact beyond Lebanon, Ajialouna launched Ajialouna-USA, a registered 501(c)(3) in Virginia, enabling international donors to support Lebanese students and families. Under the leadership of Dr. Lina Zaim Dada, Founder and President, Ajialouna continues to pioneer transparency and sustainable social development. Looking ahead, it aims to establish an elderly home, expand Maison Ajialouna, and strengthen its education, health, and empowerment programs in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Zero Hunger, ensuring that dignity, compassion, and solidarity remain at the heart of its mission.
