Under his leadership, the company has expanded its presence to 19 countries, operating 31 production facilities and employing more than 18,000 professionals. Elsewedy Electric now exports to over 110 markets and leads across five strategic sectors: Wires, Cables & Accessories; Electrical Products; Engineering & Construction; Infrastructure Investments; and Digital Solutions. Through a series of strategic acquisitions, including Iskraemeco (Slovenia), PSP (Egypt), 3W Networks (Australia–Dubai), PT CG Power Systems (Indonesia), and Validus Engineering (Pakistan); El Sewedy positioned the company as a true global powerhouse in energy and technology. Beyond business, Ahmed El Sewedy is a passionate advocate for education and sustainable development. In 2011, he founded the Elsewedy Technical Academy (STA) to redefine vocational learning in Egypt and the Middle East. In 2019, he launched The Knowledge Hub, a groundbreaking higher education platform hosting world-class institutions such as Coventry and Nova universities, with several more in progress.
