PALESTINE CHILDREN’S RELIEF FUND - UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

International Contribution to Arab Society – 2014

The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) is a humanitarian medical relief organization founded in 1991 in the USA to address the healthcare needs of Arab children across the Middle East, including Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq. The PCRF’s mission is to identify every child in need of medical care, providing treatment regardless of nationality, religion, or ethnicity.

Since its founding, PCRF has helped over 15,000 injured children receive care in local hospitals, thanks to the support of medical volunteers worldwide. It has also arranged for over 1,100 children to receive free medical treatment abroad when services were unavailable locally. With offices in Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, and the USA, the PCRF operates a grassroots network of volunteer chapters globally.

Significant initiatives include establishing Palestine’s first public pediatric cancer department, named after co-founder Huda Al Masri, and creating Gaza’s only pediatric cardiac program for children with heart disease. In addition to offering free medical care to thousands of children annually, the PCRF also provides training to local healthcare professionals, contributing to the overall improvement of pediatric healthcare in the region. With a goal to support every child in need, PCRF continues to build systems that ensure consistent, quality care across the Middle East.
