STEPHANE ATTALI - FRANCE

Stéphane Attali served as Director General of the École Supérieure des Affaires (ESA) in Beirut, a flagship French higher education institution in Lebanon and the Middle East. With degrees from Paris Dauphine University and the Paris Institute of Political Studies, he began his career as a consultant in Paris before joining the international management of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris in 1999. From 2002 to 2007, Attali was first posted to Beirut to contribute to ESA’s pedagogic development and establish its Business Cluster. He later joined ESCP Europe, another prominent French management school, as assistant to the Director-General before returning to Beirut in 2009 as ESA’s Director General.

During his tenure, he was instrumental in strengthening ESA’s role in French and Lebanese educational collaboration, reinforcing France’s influence in Lebanon and the region. He also led projects in education, health, and social sectors, benefitting many in the community.

Attali was the President of Meref – CCI France Liban, created in 2008 to foster collaboration between French and Lebanese business leaders. His dedication to cross-cultural and educational initiatives earned him the Knight of the French National Order of Merit in 2018 and the Gold Medal of the Order of Lebanese Health Merit. Stéphane Attali left a lasting legacy upon his passing in July 2019, embodying the passion and dedication that defined his career and life.
